Not Again

I hit the wrong button so now I have two headings of "not again" Yes you guessed it RAIN. It's raining again. The day started off great but around 1:00pm it started again. Also did anyone happened to see Dancing with the Stars last night? Another ugly dress for Samantha Harris this one looked like an ugly snake shed it's skin and she wore it for a dress. I worked today this are starting to pick up at the B&B. Summer is coming and folks are going on vacation. Speaking of vacation my German family will be taking a vacation to visit us this year in September I'm so excited. It will be Finn's first trip to the US to see his oma. And Miss Paulina will be a beach diva when I get done with her. So September will be a time for shopping and eating ice cream:+)

Last night was the junior senior prom at Cape. Matthew only a sophomore got asked by a junior girl to go. A pretty girl named Courtney. Hope you enjoy the pictures. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to everyone. i also had my annual mother's day breakfast in bed. I got the most beautiful flowers with peach roses. AND here is the big one........the sun is still shinning no rain:+)

Well the jeep is gone sold to the highest bidder. Some guy named Steve who will love it as much as I did. She will get a face lift and head back to the beach:=) Were she belongs. THE BODY is in morning once again because her dog box is gone. But now she will be able to ride in air conditioning and comfort to the beach.

Rainy days and Mondays

Always get me down. For those of you who remember the singing group the Carpenters this was a song of theirs. Last week we were sweating in the heat and now cold and rainy please mother nature get in a better mood:+) I worked this past weekend at the B&B I really do like it there you get to meet people from all over. Also it's getting to the point were I can tell what the room is going to look like based on what generation the people are from. Of course my generation and older are usually pretty tidy. People in the thirty's and younger are usually slobs. Why?? Well I know why because i have two teenager's who will fall into this category. Their parents did everything for them. Now I know the exceptions are out there but they haven't checked into this B&B yet. So why do generations change do much when it comes to being tidy? I mean my great grandmother, grandmother, and mother are all tidy. When is it going to come full circle and people are going to be tidy again? Also we sold the Jeep:+) They are coming for it next week. And it's wonderful news the guy is going to fix it up and take her back to the beach. YEA That makes me so happy only problem with that is that guy may have a lot of people stopping by looking for us:+)

HOT,HOT,HOT

Wow what a change in the weather. I'm not complaining. Last week we had frost warnings and now in the 90's(32c). I love it. BUT the schools will look for any reason to get out early. Yes they are getting out at noon due to the heat!! If it's not fog delays it's heat. OMG It's beautiful outside right now the flowers and trees are all in bloom. Jack started his dream job today, maintenance man at a local golf course, a really nice one. He works 7 to 12 Mon,Wed,Fri and gets paid PLUS free golf. He is going to love it. I got a job also at a local B&B helping out with just about everything. I do like it but so far it has been all weekends and I'm not sure that is going to work for the summer. I'm missing two every important showers for family members one bridal , one baby because of the job. I know they understand but this can't happen too much. After all I'm the social queen of the summer. I'll just wait and see how it goes. This past weekend Aunt Lisa was here I love when she comes:+) James and Jack went to see a college for James a Maritime school and he really like it. So I guess my baby will be a boat captain. " Watch out pirates" Aunt Lisa and I went to the beach this past Saturday for a few hours AND I'm not going to like not having the Jeep. Now we are using the Suburban and it sucks. Load up the car, let, the air out of the tires, put the air back in the tires, unload the car. Before all I did was put the cooler on the Jeep and away we went. We'll see how long this last when Jack does it:+)

Great day

Life is good today. The weather was great AND yesterday was report card day. One son I will not even talk about except to say I hope he enjoys 10th grade again next year. But son #2 made the honor roll:+) The first time ever for sweet baby James I'm so proud of him. And this weekend he is going with his dad to look at a college in NY. At least I have one son who is looking towards the future.

She's Back

OMG can you believe it the jeep is back!!!! The state police called Friday night to say that they recovered our baby. They found her in the same neighborhood that she has stolen from. She was in one piece A little wet because she was sitting outside in the 4 inches of rain we had last week but still looking good. So the police had her towed to the impound lot instead of calling us to pick her up. I still need to talk to Mr. LAD DICK about that. So we go there and of course it costs me money to get my car. The guy says that will be 130 dollars for the towing, Jack pulls out the checkbook and the guy says we only take cash. Excuse me no one deals in cash anymore they take plastic. So we empty our wallets and only have 120 dollars and the guy says OK I'll take it. What ever I would have like to run him over with the jeep, but we just loaded her up on a friends trailer and left. We couldn't drive her home because she has not insurance and no licence. As soon as we got home "THE BODY" jumped in and there she stayed back in her summer dog box as happy as can be. The police said they got no good finger prints off the Jeep, but we are pretty sure it was the kids who live in the neighborhood but no one can prove it YET. Hopefully they will some and then i will get my 120 dollars back:+)

Still missing

Our beach buggy is still gone and it is starting to feel bad. I feel violated how could someone steal a car? I would be too scared to do something like that. Also it has been raining and cold for three days. The kids are off school this week for spring break they have been pretty good considering the weather. When are things going to look brighter? Also "THE BODY" is not well, besides missing her dog box she has a problem with her ears they are all sore looking. She goes to the vet tonight. Please warm weather hurray up that will at least make things brighter:+(

Gone Forever

It has been a sad weekend. The beach buggy is gone, STOLEN. We had it stored at a friends house for the winter. They came down this weekend to open the summer home and the jeep was gone along with their flat screen TV and a mountain bike. Now we were there two weeks ago to take pictures of the jeep because we were selling it and actually had a buyer. They were going to give us 1200 dollars for it. We only paid 1500 for it about 1o years ago!! The thieves actually must have been there several times because the battery was dead. So they brought a battery charger which they forgot to take idiots, when that didn't work the took out the old battery which is still sitting there and must have put a new one in. Then they hot wired it!! BUT the old girl was showing her age(1987) they could not have driven her too far because the thermostat was bad and it over heated after about 6 or 7 miles!! So they picked the wrong vehicle to steal. The police came to investigate, and this is were things looked a little brighter for us. The officer that came was a tall slender man with a flat top haircut real manly looking fellow. His name was Leslie A. Dick:+) Yes this is a true story. On his business card he uses his initials LAD Dick. Lucky for me the guy had a sense of humor I guess you need to with a name like that. The situation looked grim until Officer Dick showed up. He informed that his goal in life was to be a Major in the force so he could be called Major Dick:+) So now we are mourning the lose of our beloved beach buggy. She treated us well. Jessie "THE BODY" is particularly upset because that was her summer dog box, her retreat, her sanctuary, her ride to the beach. Is there nothing sacred in life anymore?

Raining

Today is Monday AGAIN. It is a triple bad day. First it is Monday, second it's laundry day, and third it is raining. So that is three strikes. Mondays should be throw out of the week. I know April showers bring May flowers but it is like a monsoon today.
Over the weekend we had grandmom, grandpa Carl, Aunt Lisa, and Jodi (a friend) here for the weekend. It was a nice time. I love when my family comes to visit. Yesterday was a beautiful day weather wise I got to hang out sheets I love the way the smell from the fresh air. And I started to pull weeds in the flower beds. I really dislike that job, but somebody has to do it. Soon I will be able to plant flowers and my garden I can't wait:+)

Monday

Monday is laundry day in this house. Now I always thought is was girls who wore too much clothing but it's not. Let me tell you my boys must change their clothing three times a day at least. They get up and put on school clothing which consists of jeans and a tee shirt. Then they have to change into golf clothing for golf practice. This is a pair of dress pants and a collared shirt, plus long johns right now because it is still cold. When they get home they change into something else usually sweat pants and another tee shirt. Then after they shower they will put on yet another pair of sweat pants and a tee shirt. Right now that is 4 sets of clothing for 1 day. 4 sets x 2 kids=8 sets a/day which is 10 articles of clothing ( will be 8 when the longs johns are no longer needed) So 10 x 2 =20 pieces of clothing a day, 20 x 5 =100 pieces of clothing just for Monday to Friday for my 2 male children. And the weekends sometimes can be worse if they are fishing that is another whole dirty laundry story. So this is why i spend all day Monday doing laundry. Now you ask why not do some mid week? Well I have been doing that but I still spend all day Monday doing laundry because Jack and I do have some also. Not as much as the kids. So I ask does anyone else have this problem? And are girls worse then boys? And these figuers DO NOT include socks and underwear:+)

Last Saturday night i went out with some girlfriends we had a great time. We danced and consumed alcoholic beverages. It is so much fun to just let loose every now and then especially with good friends. And yes we had a DD so we didn't drive. One stop on our bar tour was a very interesting place locally which I won't name I'll call it PP. It was a most colorful establishment. There were all kids of people there. Something you don't see too often well at least not in my life....2 drag queens, yes I said drag queens. I think I have to go back there sober and check it out again. Or maybe it won't be as interesting sober. Also today is the first day of spring BUT you would never know it by the weather it's only 40 degrees. Come on "mother nature" let's hurry up with the warm weather.

Back

OK so I got my computer back yesterday AND all my stuff is gone. Yes that cost an extra 75 dollars to get my favorite things reinstalled. Lucky for me I have been backing up lately. I don't know why I just started to do it. Computers are great when they work but when they don't they suck. So I have been spending all day so far trying to put things back the way they use to be. Not an easy chore for me. Sometimes it's just not easy being me:+)

Busy weekend

Went to PA this weekend and it was a busy two days.But we are home again and all the snow from last week is gone and the temperature today is 78 degrees. The windows are open all the winter funk is blowing out. The clocks sprang again today so now the sunlight will be around longer YEA. Beach weather is on it's way:+)

Finally

School is back in session. A two hour delay but I'll take it. They just left for school and the house is mine again:+) Mine to do what I want for several hours. BUT my computer is still in the hospital and I'm using James's and his space bar doesn't always work and there is food down between the keys. YUK..............

HELP

We are on the third day of NO SCHOOL because of 6 inches of snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Are you kidding me is this for real? Maybe I'm dreaming!! Sadly not. AND my computer got a spy ware virus and had to go to the hospital. I may have to start drinking in the middle of the week if this continues. Please spring hurry and arrive:+)

Yes snow a major snow event in southern Delaware. Well major to Delawareans not transplants from central PA. They closed the schools already last night when the first flake fell:+) We have about 6 inches on the ground but the wind is really blowing. I want to go down to the beach later and take pictures of the snow on the beach. I'm sure the whole town of Lewes is closed down. Jack shoveled a path for "THE BODY" to go out. She was all excited she loves the snow. The sad thing is this snow will be staying around for a few days because it is going to stay cold. Not till Thursday is it suppose to warm up. Oh well at least I can stay all snuggled up in the house. Enjoy the pictures.
