Another ungy dress

OMG!!!! Did anyone watch Dancing With The Stars last night and see the dress that Samantha Harris was wearing? Who dresses this women. She is an attractive women but in that dress last night she looked like she was abducted by a gold alien and it was still hanging from her shoulder. Good thing the season was over last night I don't think I could take another bad dress.
On another note we are in PA now for the Thanksgiving holiday. So last night I slept on the old futon with the wood stove on full blast. Needless to say I didn't sleep well at all. I hate when it is so hot and everyone else loves it. Maybe I should sleep on the patio tonight. So now I am getting ready to go to my favorite place THE DENTIST (not). Then I will hook up with some friends and drink away all the pain that he will inflict on me. HAPPY THANKSGIVING:+)

Pumpkin Roll

I did it I made pumpkin rolls today. I used to always buy these because I was afraid to make them. I could never understand how they rolled them up with out breaking. BUT a few days ago on the food network I saw someone do it. It looked simple and yes it was simple. So now I'm not only queen of the kitchen I'm queen of the pumpkin rolls. Now I will dazzle everyone at Thanksgiving dinner with my pumpkin rolls. After we are all done stuffing ourselves until we feel sick, I will bring out the rolls and they will look so mouth watering that even though we could not take another bite of food, we will!!!!!!!! Thank you food network.

Gasoline

Yesterday I filled up my vehicle with gasoline. What a happy time it was. I have not felt that good about going to the gas station in years. Thirty dollars is all it cost to fill my tank. I was over the moon. The price per gallon here in lower Delaware was $1.87 yesterday:+) I know it will not last long and by the summer it will be $4.00 per gallon again. But until that time I hope all the oil men of the world are enjoying their swim in the crude oil they have in inventory.

Update

So much has been going on since my last post. I will try to review all the important things. First of all the fashion police really need to get on the stick. In the last week i have seen two women in the news wearing the worst dresses ever. First Michelle Obama what was she thinking on election night here is a women that is going to be a trend setter and she wears an ugly dress. next last evening on DWTS (dancing with the stars) Samantha Harris had on a dress even uglier the Michelle Obama. What is this world coming too when women in the spot light don't dress for success?
Next my children had report cards this week. One did well the other did not I'll let all of you who know me decide which is which. and that is all I'm going to say about that.
Now for the good news. My goddaughter is having a baby:+) So i guess that means I'm going to be a grand godmother. So now my BFF Nin and I will start canvasing the local stores for summer maternity clothing and baby items. I have already purchased a Halloween onsie for the little one.
Now for the depressing news. We have put the Jeep away for the winter so that means that summer is really over. I held on as long as possible. The days are shorter and colder and I have not had shorts on outside for a while:+( I hate to wish for time to go faster but please hurry summer of 2009.

My pick for best hat this year

Lisa & Sarah in the best attire

Well it was that time of year again. When people from all over the world get together in lower Delaware too see who can throw a pumpkin the longest distance. This year we have a new world record, 4,483.51 ft. For those of you who who are not mathematically incline 1 mile is 5280 feet. So these pumpkins are flying close to a mile. The world record holder this year is Young Glory a fellow Delawarean. So the bragging rights have come home to Delaware. Anyone interested in learning of this tradition you can go to http://www.punkinchunkin.com/ Also what is amazing is these people don't do this not for money most of the money collected goes to charity they do it for bragging rights. This year we only saw one misfire. That's when the pumpkin goes backwards into the crowd. If this happens everyone yells heads up and you better take cover. It hit a car and put one heck of a dent in it. And let me mention what a beautiful weekend it was in lower Delaware for this event. The temperature was in the high 60's. So enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the event.
