Yes we have snow in southern Delaware. Not a lot about an inch but to the folks down here that is a state of emergency. As soon as the first flake fell so did the sand. They throw sand on the road when it snows. I guess it is cheaper then salt and plentiful. They do put salt on the major highways but in the little town of Lewes it is all sand. The schools closed a half day yesterday and I thought for sure they would be closed today, but only a two hour delay happened. Now it is suppose to rain and the snow will all be gone which is OK with me:+)

Rib Skin

I had my annual mammogram this week. And during the painful time while they are pushing my breast to flat pancake size they tell me that my "rib skin" is in the way and that I have to hold it back!! What a polite way of saying your fat, your muffin top, the other person that you have growing inside you is in the way of you breast picture. Talk about adding insult to injury. Do all facilities use this terminology of rib skin or do they have other polite words for fat?

Road trip

It's time for a road trip to PA for the last orthodontist appointment. We are leaving this weekend for the appointment on Monday. Then my family will be coming back without me. I'm staying for a few days to visit, and have a mammogram. I know it's a long drive for a mammogram but all my records are at this facility and that way I can visit family and friends. The only problem will be that it's cold up there. I know this because it is cold here:+( Down in the single digits last night.BURRRRRRRRR To cold for me. Please hurry spring. The kids had off from school Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoons. They had tests and I guess it is just to stressful for them and the teachers that they all needed the afternoons off. Which of course means that I have to work. Next week we get a new president. I certainly hope that Michelle Obama has a better outfit on then she did the night her husband won the election.

What a great holiday season:+) Now it's time to take down all the lovely Christmas decorations and bed down for the winter. Al thought I am tired and could use a nap I wish it was summer not winter. The last few days we have had friends and family visiting. We had a small but good New Year's Eve gathering. The only sad thing was Irish eyes burned again for the second time in two years. Can you believe it what bad luck. Well this time at least the structure looks fairly good so they are not starting from scratch. Hopefully they will be open for the summer season. James had his wisdom teeth out on Tuesday and still looks bad. His face is all swollen he looks like he has a stash of nuts in his checks for the winter months. I hope you enjoy the New Years pictures.
