back again

well we spent some time at the beach house. we are getting ready for our move to Delaware. school is out and my children are at each others throat. big surprise there!!!!!! right now they are swimming in the pool. i changed the name of our blog, i just didn't like our name on it. summer is finally here and i love it. i think it should be summer all the time. just being warm and seeing the sunshine all the time makes everything OK. well time to get the laundry out of my re-built washer.

back to work

IK school is over for the summer so now my job begins. taking care of two teenage sons who know everything. i'm glad 7th grade is over. it was so hard for everyone. what a change from grade school. and now i know next year will be even worse because we are moving to a new school district. but we will have to make things better. (yea OK) the body is down for her mid afternoon nap. We are going to the beach this weekend. and the men are going crabbing, i can't wait. i'm so hungry for crabs. well i just got called for a poker game so i gotta run. but after today for a least 3 months the school will not be calling me because onemy sons is in trouble. so maybe today is better then i thought.

help

well i just received a call from the school again. this time it is number 2 son. someone dared him to steal something off a teachers desk(some candy) so he did........ i guess brain surgon is out of the question for him...now for the last three days of school he has in-school-supension. someone please help me..... good thing i am going away for a few days with a girlfriend. my son better hope i am all rested and relaxed by the time i get home. i just don't know where i went wrong. we have tried to be good parents and teach our children right from wrong. WHY do they do stupid things????????????

great

what a great holiday weekend. first it didn't rain:+) the sun was hot, the company was great, good food and the beer was cold!!!! it can't get any better. happy summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my children how ever were bad. both had their periods, yes boys do get it and it is ugly. sometimes i wish i could put them on a fishing rod and throw them into the ocean, and then when it is time to go home bring the line in!!!! but i guess that could be considered abuse. but if i bring then in at the end of the day would that really be abuse??????

holiday weekend

well the holiday weekend is almost upon us. i have been on holiday for over a year, but that is beside the point. the summer will officially start this weekend. we will all flock to the beach with our grills, beer and fishing poles. i can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was born to be a beach bum. this evening my husband and the oldest son are golfing. the youngest son is out playing with his glued check, and swollen eye, but he is happy. i am hear all alone with the body, packing for our long weekend. it is amazing all the things i need to take even when i live there part time. also the weather may co-operate this weekend also. it usually rains this weekend. so i hope you all have a good holiday. i know i will because the sand will be between my toes and a beer bottle in my hand.

children

tonight i was playing on-line poker in a game that could get me a free trip to Aruba for my honey and I. in the middle of the game my youngest son, was doing something with the go-cart and of course got hurt. it hit him in his handsome face. SO as mother of this house hold i hear my husband saying, "go down to your mother and see what we should do." what would they do with out me. it needed more medical attention then i could give, and i was in the middle of a poker game!!!!!!!! i told my husband to take over and i would take care of our son. but he decided he would, take him to the hospital for stiches. BUT being a great mother i instructed them to call the local doctor and see if they are still in. And yes they were, so instead of sitting in the ER for endless hours they glued his cheek up and gave him a tetus shoot. my husband was so impressed and happy that he did not have to sit in the ER. I bet i could get a new piece of jewery out of this. somedays it is so nice to be appreciated.

mom's birthday

today is my mom's birthday she is 39 again today. she has been that age for many years. i finally explained to my children how i can be 48 and grandmom can be 39. today i spent one hour and thiry minutes in the dentist chair that sucked. but when i got home i did three loads of wash in a row and did not see "F11" that was the fault that would come up and then it would not run. so I think the washer is finally fixed. YEA!!!!!!!!!!! thursday afternoon i'm going to the beauty shop for some maintence. i started to meet my sister there now for some family bonding. i think i will take "the Body" along also since the girls in there would like to meet her. now there is a good question for the day why do't we have beauty shops for us and our pets together for a one stop shop? maybe i should open one. i could do that at the beach!!!!

a new day

well hopefully today will be the first day of a better life here in this house. the washer is finally fixed, the first service call went in on 4/9/06. the oldest son is off of in-school-supension. the house is up for sale, and summer is coming. sounds good to me. it is hard to believe that these simple things are the things that make me happy now. me the material girl. oh well all things do change. speaking of change i guess the voting public sure changed american idol around last night. i really like chris but you know he was just acting like he was the winner already. i really hope elliot or taylor wins. two down to earth guys.

what's a mother to do???????

being a mother is possibly the hardest job in the world. i have two teenage sons. one son is driving my to the edge of the universe. this is the child whom i have changed his dirty diapers, wipe his runny nose, sat with him through numerous hospital visits, got up in the middle of the night to help him through his bad dreams, while all the time loving him. now all we do is argue, he has become lazy, a poor student, and he has no respect for his parents or his once happy home. so the question is what is a mother to do???????????

dress day

well today my goddaughter, and her two mothers went to find the most important dress of her life. "the wedding dress" i have to admit i was not sure what kind of dress this my only daughter would want to wear on her special day. this is the child who in her colorful life has, worn clothing from goodwill for a class picture a work shirt of someone named craig, dyed her her a very bright pink, always worn colorful underware, and has had ponytails on the top of her head often resembling horns:+) i was so impressed with the very classy dresses she picked out. she look stunning, like a bride. even the viel looked good although she is not confortable in that yet..... she even had all the correct hardhare on under the dress......now the task of picking out her favorite will take place in the next few months. it will be analyzed in every way know to man or women in this case. but in the end no matter which one she choose she will look like the princess she is, under all that ruby dirt.

home

we have returned from our vacation in punta cana in the dominican republic. it was great. the beach is one of the best i have seen, and i have seen alot of beaches. the water was blue, the sand fine and white, the sun hot, and the women topless!!!!!! just the way men like them. of course when i returned my washer was still not working. but all seems to be well now. back 1 week and i finally i'm getting caught up on laundry. hopefully it will not break anymore since it has all new parts now. and yes when we returned i the one who packed everything unpacked it all also. but it was ok because i could take my time and not have to run off to the 9 to 5 grind and worry about the things at home to do. i love retirement. "the body" did not eat for two days while we were gone and she stayed in the basement and howled for another two. she missed her family. but all is well agian she is back to eating and sleeping 22 hours a day. today i baked a chocolate cake for my family it seems like forever since i used my fine Kitchen Aid mixer. now it is time to pack up and sell this house and move to the great state of delaware. it is kind of sad but exciting at the same time. we have lived here for 26 years. i wish we could keep both houses but it just makes now sense to do that. and retired people should not have to take care of two houses. they should enjoy life.

almost time

Tuesday night we leave for vacation,,,, finally....but one could say i have been on vacation for a year already. we go to the airport hotel tuesday night hopefully before 8:00pm so i can catch AI. the at the crack of dawn and i mean crack 6:00am we leave for the dominican republic. for a fun filled week of r&r. my arms will be on OT lifting my cosmo glass and beer bottles. the only problem with vacations is packing for everyone. because i live with three men and do i need to say anymore. the body will also be in for a week of r&r with aunt lisa. althought she will get to sleep 23 hours a day instead of 22 for a week, she will miss someone being loving to her...and talking to her during the day. well i least i think she will maybe she can't think because she is a dumb old dog. but i will miss her. hopefully the day after we return the washer repair man will be here with the long awaited part that we wre in need of. if not there will be trouble with sears......because i will have a vacation weeks worth of dirty clothing. this vacation will be especially nice because we are going with another family that also have two children and that love the beach as much as we do. also what will be nice is I will not have to go back to the 9-5 grind when i return, i will return to my postion as domestic goddess of the house. and i will be able to then have as much time as i want to catch up on anything i want. i am so lucky.....but of course i earned it:+)

broken

Last week on tuesday my mega washer that i love...stopped working. I called a repair man who could not come until yesterday. he was set to arrive sometime between 8am & 2:30pm he finally arrived at 6:00pm. Only to tell me that he has to order the part and that would be another week!! So remember it has already been a week since my last load of clean clothing was produced. I have 2 teenage boys who wear clothing for 30 minutes then put it in the laundry basket. So today I gathered up all the dirty laundry all 4 baskets of it and went to my sisters. i was painting her bathroom for her today so i used her washer also. Since grandma and grandpa live next door to my sister i also used their washer. Well actually grandma did three loads for me, and i did three loads. then i had to load it all up in the car, bring it home and put it away!!!! How do people go to the laundry every week. why would you have a home without a washer? I remember now the days that I didn't have a washer and it was terrible then and still is. please let my washer be fixed soon!!!!!! then today i had to explain to grandma my theroy on the one-legged sock people. and how they have followed my from my house to hers.......

a family again

well the man of the house is home after a week of male bonding and golfing down south. i often wonder what they do on a man week. i imagine that it is pretty boring. i bet they never meet movie stars like we do on girl's week. they never shop either all they do is golf, eat, and sleep. i bet they don't even talk about anything except for golf and cigars. the bathrooms in the condo are probably a pig pen and i bet their beds are never made. but i guess they enjoy it because they do it every year. Now the question for the day is...who has more fun on their vacations the men or the women?

sandals and no socks.

What a great day weather wise finally some warm days. It was so wonderful today i even got to wear capri's and and new birks. I got all these new sandals for christmas from my german family. And finally after months of looking at them in the closet and wishing for warm weather the day arrived. Sandals and no socks day. It is always at this time of year when I question myself on why i live in a place were the climate changes so much. I'm a warm weather girl. If I lived in a place were the weather was warm all the time I could wear sandals and summer clothing all year long. Then I would not have to stress over the winter months asking myself all the time the same question over and over. "Will I be able to fit into the same size summer clothing as last year?" And the answer this year is "yes" I can still wear the same size as last year. So my day was a pretty good day.

poop and puck

sunday all ready..where does the time go. since thursday the house has been in termoil. everyone was sick. everyone but me that is. thanks goodness for small favors. getting sick is no fun for anyone. the ones who are sick or the one cleaning up the mess. each time someone went in to the bathroom i had to follow behind with lysol cleaning supplies, to clean up the mess and rid the room of all germs. then of course were ever anyone traveled to in the house i had to follow and clean it. so my question is who suffers the most when sickness invades your home?????? I think it is the mom. she is the one who has to clean up and take care of the sick people. she has to make soup and strip all the beds. she has to clean all the poop and puck. and through all this she has to stay healthy.

well spring is finally here. today is the first full day of spring and it is cold here in the northeast. the flowers and trees are starting to bud but the weather is not showing spring. i'm so ready for it. please hurry. i played on line poker today and lost. that is so fixed. as soon as you get to many chips you loose. and that is why i would never use real money. the body slepy all day. but the man of the house did take her for a walk yesterday and today. it says she needs to get in shape......she is in fine shape just the way she is. Also today i left a negative feedback on ebay, my first negative. why must people try to ripe others off? Is that just the american way or are there just some bad apples in the bunch? i like to think the second statement is true.

monday - wash day. hopefully there are others out there with the same problem that i have on wash day. SOCKS. were do they all go? now i have heard the stories of the one legged sock people that live in the dryer. but please how many can live in there? But the real perplexing question I have is ....when there is only one sock left, what do we do? Now if we bought all the same kind of socks it would be easy. but not everyone is a boring as my husband who wears all the same work socks.....but for those of us who do not have all the same socks what should be done? would society accept the wearing of mis-matched socks? or would they say hey those goes that kersey kid with two different socks on? so the dilemma continues week after week and my pile of socks without partners grows larger. maybe we should create a socks without partners socitey. after all they have a parents without partners maybe these people would want my recently singled socks.......

a day to spend away from the 9 to 5 grind with your family. here is my day so far. one son is at a birthday party, the other son is playing video games and burping for me, this son only got out of bed at noon. my husband is watching golf, even though he will be leaving next weekend for a week on a male bonding golf trip down south. and the body is sleeping, surprise, surprise. I played poker this morning did ok, then i cooked for a party we are attending this evening. and now i'm blogging. sunday another family day i will spend after i make my children go to sunday school, at my girlfriend's house watching howard stern on pay tv. we will eat , drink and be merry because there will be no men or children within shouting distance. this is a wonderful example of my family time for the weekend. I wish they could all be this relaxing. so in conclusion do we really need to be interacting with our family all weekend to enjoy our family time?????

st. patty's day

today is st. patericks day and everyone is irish today in some way shape or form. They are either wearing green, drinking green beer, or eating cornbeef and cabbage as i did this evening. I met my best girlfriend tonight at a local club, her sister, and her family. her mother, her in-laws and her husband. her husband reserved the table since he is the member of this club. being that communication skills are not always up to par for everyone the table was set and reserved for six and there were 13 of us. so we over came that hurdle. then we all sat there and ejoyed our st. patty's day dinner in a smoke filled room drinking beer with a bunch of drunks. Oh and the women next to us telling her children to SHUT-UP all the time. thank heavens they finally left. We also enjoyed the father-in-law of my friend sitting there fantasizing about having sex with everyone, and talking about hard things. he is so gross!! And let's not forget the urnial in the ladies roon which is always an interesting topic of connversation. But being the simple minded people that we are we enjoyed the evening. so to sum up things. i guess we can tolerate anything to show the little bit of irish in all of us.
